[SIZE="4"]An adaptation

A long time ago, there was five brothers the challenge each other who is the best?

Narrator: have you heard about the five brothers? Each aims to outdo each others each boasts of what he does best.

Little man: he said I am such a fine young man

Narrator: to this, his brother says,

Ring man: he said I am better. You see, I wear a ring. I must be so important.

Tall man: both of you are silly. I am the tallest. I am the most attractive.

Point man: he said oh no, I am the most important. I point out things, places, and objects. I show the right way to go. I am the most useful.

Thumb man: he said wait minute, dear brothers. You have all said your piece .so please allow me to ask just one simple question.

Who among you can pick up the ball over there without help from any body?

Narrator: the point man was the first to try. The ball rolled around and around and as he pointed, the ball rolled farther, and farther.

Tall man: he said may I try?

Narrator: he said to the tall man tried, the tall man tried and tried to no avail

Ring man: he said I can do it.

Narrator: he said the ring man said with a great confidence, and so he aimed to pick up the ball. He wrested, and wrung, and wrenched. Until he wrecked his neck.

Little man: he said my goodness gracious


Narrator: the was all the little man could say.

The four man: he said all right, Mr. Thump, if you can pick it up all by yourself, you are the best. Don’t just stand there and grin.


Thump man: he said certainly, I cannot get that ball all by myself. I need you. My dear brothers, to pick up that ball. Let's help each others do it.

Narrator: finally, each one understands. The task that seems impossible to be done alone is not so hard after all with assistance from a team[/SIZE].
