Man is the most superior of creatures that Allah (SWT) created. Man is able to learn and the Noble Qur'an encourages Man to learn and search in the Universe. The first ayah that was revealed to our Prophet (SAWS) can be translated as, "Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists)" (TMQ, Surat Al-Alaq (The Clot) 1). This is a serious indication and an encouragement to learn. There is a big difference between the educated person and the nation on one side and the nations that are still trying to catch the caravan of learning and development.

Learning is the thing that grants Man his humanity that remains with him from his birth until he dies. What asserts the value of learning in the life of Man is Man himself because he, on the contrary to other living creatures, is born with a smattering of genes and instinctual ability to face the reality of life in which he has to live. The duck, once out of the egg, resists drowning and swim. Likewise, all other newborns of other creatures do the same. However, the human baby cannot handle his daily affairs regarding eating, excretion, and primary needs unless by the help of others who take care of him through the learning process he acquires since his birth. Therefore, learning does not occupy a special importance in the life of Man.

Psychology is the science that studies behavior and in order to understand this behavior we have to study learning, that is, studying learning is essential for understanding behavior.

Although human behavior is instinctual in essence, the huge changes it goes through are in reality the result of learning that starts while being inside the womb. It can be said that the instinctual behavior is just a small percentage of the general behavior of Man. For example, children learn language in a really short purpose.

1) Intended learning that takes place in the learning and teaching situations.
2) Unintended learning that materializes through life events and experiences.

Learning also includes many skills and abilities that vary from simple facts to complex skills. It sometimes requires a profound effort.

In brief, learning is a complex process despite that we usually realize the results of teaching in Man's behavior, but the teaching process is hard to observe because it is an invisible internal process.
