Every child in the U.S.A. must go to school from the age
of six to sixteen, but most stay at school until they graduate at
eighteen. Between those ages, Qgey attend three different
schools. From six to twelve, children go to elementary school.
From twelve to fifteen,they attend junior high school. Finally,
from fifteen to eighteen, they go to high school.
At high school, the day usually begins at about 8:30 a.m.
and ends at about 3:30 p.m. Lunch lasts an hour and is usually
from 12 to 1 o’cIock. There is homework every evening. Pupils
(called “students”in the U.S.A.) may choose some less
important subjects at high school. But, in general, everyone
takes English, maths, one foreign language (often Spanish),
history, geography, the sciences (physics, chemistry and
biology) and P.E. until they leave at eighteen.
ln general students do not take exams when they leave
school. Instead, they collect credits for every course which
they attend. They do this until they have enough credits to
graduate. For example, a student may need 120 credits to
graduate. lf he takes an English course, g will get 10 credits. If
he takes three English courses, he will get 30 credits. So he will
need 90 more credits to graduate, and so on. When a student
collects all his credits, he can graduate with a high school
diploma. About 50 percent of American students go on to
university.

كل طفل في الولايات الامريكية المتحدة يجب ان يذهبون الي المدرسة من العمر 6 الي 16 لكن , معظمهم يبقون الي المدرسة حتى يتخرجون في ال 18 . بين هذه الاعمار يحضرون الي 3 مدارس مختلفه ... من 6 الي 12 الاطفال يذهبون الي المدرسه الابيتدائيه ومن 12 الي 15 الاطفال يلتحقون الي الثانويه واخيرآ , من 15 الي 16 يذهبون الي الكليه

في الثانوية , اليوم غالبا يبدا في الثامنه والنص صباحا تقريبا وتنتهي في الثالثة ونص مساءا تقريبا . وجبة الغذا تستمر ساعه وغالبا من 12 الي 1 بالظبط . يوجد واجب كل مساء . الطلاب ( يسمى student يعني طالب في امريكا ) يمكن يختار بعض المواد الاقل اهتماما في الثانوية . لكن بشكل عام , كل واحد ياخذ انجليزي , رياضيات ,لغة اجنبيه غالبا ما تكون الاسبانيه , تاريخ , جغرافيا والعلوم ( فيزياء , كمياء , حياء ) and P.E حتى يمضون في الثانوية .

بشكل عام , الطلاب لا ياخذون اختبارات حينما يتركون المدرسة . عوضا عن او بدلا من يجمعون رصيد لكل دورة يحضرونها . هم يفعلون هذا حتى يمتلكون رصيد كاف للتخرج . مثال , طالب قد يحتاج 120 رصيد ليتخرج .لو هو اخذ في دورة الانجليزي هو سوف يحصل على 10 رصيد ولو اخذ 3 دورات انجليزية هو سوف يحصل على 30 رصيد . لذلك , هو سوف يحتاج 90 والمزيد من الرصيد ليتخرج ... وهكــذا . عندما الطالب يجمع جميع رصيده هو يستطيع ان يتخرج مع دبلوم الثانوية . تقريبا 50 بالميه من الطلاب الامريكين يواصلون الجامعة .
