ما هو موسم «الشبط» الذي يتوسّط فصل الشتاء؟
 

يقول المؤرخون وعلماء الفلك أن موسم “الشبط” الذي يتوسّط فصل الشتاء يأتي نتيجة الرياح الباردة القادمة من سيبيريا والقطب الشمالي عبر أوروبا في هذه الفترة من كل عام.

موسم “الشبط” يتخلله موسم “الأزيرق”، وهو عبارة عن 8 أيام يبلغ فيها البرد ذروته القصوى، ويمكن في هذه الفترة زراعة البرسيم (علف للحيوانات)، والبطيخ والقطن وكذلك النخيل.

متى يبدأ موسم الشبط؟

ويختلف موسم “الشبط” عن الفترة التي تبدأ في 22 ديسمبر/كانون الأول والتي تنتهي في 31 يناير/كانون الثاني، إذ أن الأخيرة مصدرها يكون الأرض، لكن “الشبط” هو ناجم فعلياً عن الرياح والعاصفة القوية وتبدأ فعلياً منذ 14 يناير ويستمر 26 يوما حتى 8 شباط، حيث تبلغ فيه شدة البرد ذروتها القصوى.

لماذا سمي بموسم الشبط؟

وقد أطلق على هذا الموسم إسم “الشبط” منذ القدم لأن جزءاً منه كان يقع في شهر فبراير/شباط، وذلك لتميزه عن الفترة “المربعانيّة” التي تبدأ من أواخر ديسمبر/كانون اول حتى نهاية يناير/كانون ثاني، والتي تستمر 40 يوماً، ويتميز موسم “الشبط” بتكون الصقيع، بينما تكثر الأمطار في الفترة المربعانيّة.

كما أن في الشبط يبدأ النهار بأخذ قسم من الليل فيطول النهار ويقصر الليل، نظراً لإقتراب الأرض من الإعتدال الربيعي، بينما في الفترة المربعانيّة يكون الليل أطول من النهار بكثير.

وفي موسم “الشبط” أيضاً تتصبغ السماء باللون الأحمر بينما تكون بيضاء وداكنة حسب نوع الغيوم في الفترة المربعانيّة.

وأخيراً، يبقى برد الشبط أكثر حدّة وقسوة في هذه الفترة، ويطلق عليه إسم آخر “برد البطين”، وذلك للدلالة على أن المربعانيّة تكون بداية البرد بينما الشبط تعتبر ذروة البرد.
